Louis and Tony Kuriger, and their business partner Lloyd Harris, each face 11 charges relating to animal cruelty.

Their defence lawyer Phillip Drummond said they could not enter pleas as they were waiting on the Ministry for Primary Industries to provide more evidence.

The case has been remanded until late-April. Mr Drummond said he would expect pleas to be entered in May.

The three defendants first appeared in the Palmerston North District Court on 22 February. The ministry began investigating allegations of animal welfare offences related to Oxbow Dairies Ltd in late 2016.

Ms Kuriger is a shareholder of Oxbow Dairies but does not face any charges herself.
